Saint-Gobain?announces its investment in a 60/40 joint venture company with?InDeco, one of the leading decoration and design companies for public space in China, to strengthen their long-term partnership in the field of modular construction, a one-step further in the Group strategy of sustainable construction industry.
The signing ceremony has been held on March 25, 2021, in Chengdu, the provincial capital city of Sichuan province, attended by representatives from both companies, local authorities and media.
At the ceremony, Javier Gimeno, Senior Vice-President of Saint-Gobain Group and CEO for Asia-Pacific Region, and Randy Wan, Founder and CEO of InDeco, signed the joint venture agreement on behalf of the two parties.
The new company, named?InSpace?Construction and Technology Co. aims at providing the Chinese market with brand-new prefabricated solutions for interior decoration applications.
In the words of Javier Gimeno “driven by the increasing demand of productivity and the need of shortening the time of construction, prefabrication and modularity constitute one of the major trends of the Chinese construction industry. Saint-Gobain is determined to pioneer and lead the way in this country in the field of modules for interior decoration”.
