On the morning of October 13th, the 2024 Shanghai Inclusion Marathon Charity Run Pairing Ceremony was held at the Huangpu Riverside.?
Among the guests participating in this event were leaders from the Shanghai Sports Federation, Shanghai Disabled Persons' Federation, CPC Huangpu District Committee, Huangpu District People's Government, Donghao Lansheng (Group) Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Foreign Service (Group) Co., Ltd., along with representatives from the Paris Paralympic athletes. Corporate guests, disabled runners, and volunteer pacers gathered together, aiming to achieve “Equality, Participation and Sharing” through running.
As the representative of the volunteer pacers, Ludovic WEBER, CEO of Saint-Gobain APAC Region, delivered a speech to express his expectations for this event and his firm belief in the inclusion events. He highlighted the Inclusion Marathon Charity Run is not just a sports event, but also a profound exchange of hearts and minds. Here, we train and communicate with individuals with disabilities, witnessing their exceptional strength, courage, self-reliance, and perseverance. We can feel the society’s care and support for them. Ludovic also conveyed that Saint-Gobain has always been deeply committed to CSR, and believed that we can further promote social inclusion and harmony through such activities.
In the upcoming weeks, the athletes participating in the inclusion run and their volunteer pacers will train together, preparing for the Shanghai Marathon held on December 1. We look forward to the outstanding performances of all the athletes on the marathon stage, as they collectively inject new vitality into the development of the cause of inclusion between disabled and able-bodied individuals.
