On July 12th, Saint-Gobain Yangzhou Gypsum Technology Material Production Base successfully held the opening ceremony for its plasterboard production line in Yangzhou.
This marks the fifth plasterboard production line for Saint-Gobain China, with an annual output of 40 million square meters of high-quality paper-faced plasterboard. This achievement is a result of Saint-Gobain China team's independent innovation and collaborative efforts, and it signifies a solid step forward in localized research and development and industrial capabilities.
From the very beginning of project planning, the team has been dedicated to integrating green and sustainable concepts into every detail. The Yangzhou Plant annually comprehensively utilizes approximately 800,000 tons of solid waste, and with direct energy consumption fully relying on clean energy, it has achieved 100% use of green electricity. The team has also taken several measures to reduce indirect energy consumption, including photovoltaic power generation exceeding 4 million kilowatt-hours per year, electrification of all mobile equipment within the factory, and construction of waste heat utilization and hot water recovery systems. Additionally, zero wastewater discharge has been made possible during production.
Not only does the team reduce carbon emissions in their own operations, but they also extend this concept to the third-party supply chain by gradually increasing the use of new energy transportation vehicles. By taking these practical actions, they embody "Green, smart manufacturing for a low-carbon, sustainable future."
