Scintillating at more than 3,000 meters, this gourmet restaurant converted into a futuristic hospital for the film, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the ?tztal valley’s 250 summits. ECKELT GLAS’s Steyr facility supplied the 900 square meters of CLIMATOP triple-glazing used in the fa?ade and the terrace balustrade. The French actress Léa Seydoux, who plays the James Bond??girl, invites the British spy to admire the glaciers through huge bay windows. After joining the gadget specialist Q on the lower floor, Bond then witnesses the young woman being kidnapped, thanks to the see-through architecture.
Designed by the architect firm Obermoser, the three-story building opened in December 2013.
